Beautiful Scenes:
The sea resounds with the glorification of its Creator, the sky whispers to Him without ceasing, and the waves etch verses of majesty upon the canvas of the sand.
Had Allah willed, He could have made it still—but it stands as proof of the Creator of all existence: the Lord worthy of worship.
His greatness is manifested in the heavens held aloft without pillars.
His power is evident—these mighty waves carve through solid rock, yet the power of the Creator is far greater and more sublime.
When We Reflect Upon His Magnificent Creations:
"Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding." (Quran 3:190)
*Al-Sa‘di* explains: *"They reflect upon the creation of the heavens and the earth"—meaning, to derive proof of their purpose. This indicates that reflection is an act of worship, a quality of Allah’s close servants. When they ponder, they realize that Allah did not create them in vain.*
Thus, their hearts are filled with awe of the Creator, and they proclaim: "Our Lord, You did not create this aimlessly; exalted are You!"—rejecting all that is unworthy of His majesty, for He created all in truth.
They Are the People of Obedience to Allah
For them, beauty is subjugated—the earth, the sky, and the sea are made accessible. Not so for those who defy Allah with His own blessings.
"Say, 'Who has forbidden the adornment of Allah which He has produced for His servants and the good [lawful] things of provision?' Say, 'They are for those who believe during the worldly life [but] exclusively for them on the Day of Resurrection.' Thus, We detail the verses for a people who know." (Quran 7:32)
*Al-Sa‘di* comments: *"Say, 'They are for those who believe during the worldly life, exclusively for them on the Day of Resurrection'—meaning, they will bear no burden for it. By implication, those who disbelieve in Allah and use His blessings to commit sins will find them neither pure nor permissible; rather, they will be punished for their indulgence and questioned about their luxuries on Judgment Day."*
Yet the Heart Aches...
When it sees this beauty withheld from the eyes of the righteous, stolen from them due to rampant immorality and indecency.
How many hearts have longed to witness this beauty but were deprived!
How many eyes have yearned for the purity of nature, only to find it tainted by what angers the Lord!
How the sea, the mountains, and the trees long for those who glorify Allah, that they may testify for them on the Day of Resurrection!
Do Not Grieve... For Allah’s Compensation is Great
What is lacking here will be surpassed there: "For those who do good is the best [reward] and extra." (Quran 10:26)
The "extra" is the vision of Allah’s Noble Face.
Allah says in a *Hadith Qudsi*:
"I have prepared for My righteous servants what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart has ever conceived."
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) said: *"Recite, if you wish: 'And no soul knows what joy has been kept hidden for them as a reward for what they used to do.'"* (Quran 32:17)
